Gaza City has been officially declared in famine, with hunger rapidly extending to other regions, as per a global hunger monitor. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) states that nearly 514,000 people are battling with famine, a figure likely to surpass 641,000 by September, as per a report by Reuters. The declaration has escalated the calls for Israel to allow more aid into Gaza. The United Nations has warned about a man-made disaster that could lead to war crimes if the issue is not resolved.
