INDIA alliance MPs, including Leaders of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, took out a protest march on Monday (August 11, 2025) from Parliament House to the Election Commission against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar and alleged “vote chori” but were stopped midway by the police and detained citing disruption. Police put up barricades on the way to prevent the MPs, protesting the voter roll revision in Bihar and the alleged poll rigging, from marching forward. More than 30 MPs, including Congress’s Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut and TMC’s Sagarika Ghose, were detained and taken to the Parliament Street Police Station.
