Delhi woke up to a very heavy rainfall on Saturday, flooding major areas like RK Puram, Connaught Place, Minto Bridge, and Vasant Kunj. The showers started late Friday night and have impacted traffic across the city. Congestion near AIIMS and the Barapullah bridge was also reported. The IMD has issued a red alert for most of Delhi-NCR, predicting more rain with thunderstorms till August 12. Several areas witnessed severe waterlogging, disrupting vehicular movement and daily life. Authorities have urged residents to avoid non-essential travel plans and to stay updated on weather forecasts.
