In a powerful display of swift diplomacy and crisis response, over 100 Indian students evacuated from the conflict-stricken Iran have safely landed in Delhi. The moment marked immense relief for families as well as for the officials. The initiative carried out under ‘Operation Sindhu’ saw the evacuation of 110 students first relocated from Armenia with the assistance of the Indian Embassy before returning home. Some parents who were waiting for hours were overcome with emotions as they welcomed their children.
