India marks one year since the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. On January 22, 2024, the idol of Ram Lalla was ceremonially placed on its seat during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. This sacred event, held on Kurma Dwadashi during the Shukla Paksha of Paush month in the Hindu calendar, was attended by numerous devotees, celebrities, and dignitaries, signifying the resolution of a long-standing legal and political dispute. This year, the anniversary was celebrated on January 11 instead of January 22, as the Shukla Paksha in the Hindu lunar calendar coincided with January 11. The date was adjusted to honor the alignment with the lunar calendar.
