-    Industrial leader Ratan Tata was given a ceremonial guard of honour by the Mumbai Police on Thursday evening as his mortal remains were transported to a crematorium in Worli for final rites. Among the leaders who paid their last respects were Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The Home Minister expressed his sorrow on X, stating, “I have joined millions of Indians in mourning the demise of Ratan Tata Ji. I have also laid a wreath on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji.” He remembered Tata as a symbol of integrity and patriotism. Tata’s remains were made available for public viewing at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in South Mumbai from 10:30 am to 3:55 pm. He passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday night, leaving behind a profound legacy for both the Tata Group and the nation.Tata played a crucial role in elevating the Tata Group’s stature on the global stage, earning respect worldwide.
