Saala Khadoos box office collections did not really make any waves on release as it earned Rs 3.13 crore on day 1. Expectations were that it would not draw crowds, but this was quite short of what was expected. R Madhavan starrer Saala Khadoos which was 'small on budget and high on content' looks to have been unable to convince theatre-goers that its content was class above the average. (Bollywood Hungama)

Saala Khadoos box office collections: The writing was on the wall early on Friday as Saala Khadoos had got off to a slow start with just 15-20% occupancy rate. On the other hand, last week's release, the Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift continues its run in theatres recording occupancy rates higher than the new release. Like Airlift, Saala Khadoos is an inspirational movie, but it still received just mixed reviews and this has not helped convince people about its quality. Now, in order to do better at the box office, the film will have to largely depend on word of mouth and Madhavan's effort. (Bollywood Hungama)

Boxer and actress Ritika Singh, who is being praised for her performance in her debut film 'Saala Khadoos' said, "I am enjoying the attention right now. It feels nice that people want to know about your work, your first film. I want to act in future too but I am a realist. I am prepared to get no work after this." (Bollywood Hungama)

Saala Khadoos box office collections: Saala Khadoos, jointly produced by lead actor R Madhavan and Rajkumar Hirani, follows a known template. It hinges on the plight of two tough individuals who have had a rough time in life but are in no mood to leave the ring without a fight. One of these two people is an erstwhile boxer (R Madhavan) who has been pushed into a shell by personal disappointments. The other is a spirited young girl, a Chennai fish-seller (first-timer Ritika Singh), who has a natural talent for the sport and is a diamond waiting to be polished. The two join forces with the aim of conquering the world but, no prizes for guessing, their path is strewn with thorns. (Bollywood Hungama)
