Trent
Trent has trimmed stakes in its joint ventures with Spanish retail giant Inditex as it expands Zudio and Westside in the country, according to its FY25 annual report. Trent said it had reduced its holding in Inditex Trent Retail India (ITRIPL), which runs Zara stores, from 49% to 39.94% by selling 140,000 equity shares through a buyback offer made by ITRIPL. This was effective August 30, 2024.
Gensol Engineering
The National Company Law Tribunal’s (NCLT) Ahmedabad bench reserved orders on interim applications made by respondents in the Gensol Engineering (GEL) & Ors versus Union of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). A total of 13 pleas were filed by the arraigned individuals who moved the tribunal to recall, vacate, stay or suitably modify the ex parte interim order dated 28 May, 2025, passed in Company Petition No. 33 of 2025. This interim order resulted in the freezing of the bank accounts and lockers of GEL, its subsidiaries and associated individuals.
Torrent Power
Torrent Power has emerged as a successful bidder for a 300 MW wind power project by Solar Energy Corporation of India. Torrent Green Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Torrent Power, will set up the wind plant, which will be operational within a 24-month time frame from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement.
Reliance Industries
Reliance Industries has sold a large part of its stake in Asian Paints through a block deal worth Rs 7,703 crore. The company offloaded 3.5 crore equity shares at Rs 2,201 per share through its subsidiary, Siddhant Commercials. In an exchange filing, Reliance stated, “Please note that 3.5 crore equity shares of Asian Paints, held by Reliance Industries through Siddhant Commercials, have been sold today at a price of Rs 2,201 per share, leaving a balance of 87 lakh equity shares of Asian Paints.”
Crompton Greaves
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals said it has secured a Letter of Award from the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) for the supply and installation of 4,500 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra.
Canara Bank
Canara Bank said its board has approved a capital raising plan of up to Rs 9,500 crore for FY25-26 through the issuance of debt instruments. “This is to inform the Stock Exchanges that the Board of Directors of the Bank, in its meeting held today on 12.06.2025 has approved the Capital Raising Plan of the Bank for the financial year 2025-26 amounting upto Rs 9,500 Crore by way of Debt Instruments (Additional Tier I/Tier II Bonds),” the bank stated in a stock exchange filing.
DCM Shriram
DCM Shriram on Thursday said its board has approved a definitive agreement to acquire Hindusthan Specialty Chemicals for Rs 375 crore, marking its strategic entry into the advanced materials segment. The buyout of unlisted subsidiary of Hindusthan Urban Infrastructure is subject to regulatory approvals.
ONGC
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) said a gas release incident occurred on Thursday at its Rudrasagar field in Sivasagar district, Assam. The event took place around 11:45 AM during servicing operations at Well No. RDS-147, when gas began to gush from the oil well.
