Indian stock, debt and currency markets are closed on Tuesday for a public holiday. Trading will resume on Wednesday.

The benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index Sensex ended up 0.1 percent on Monday, while the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index rose 0.04 percent.

The benchmark 10-year bond yield inched up 1 basis point to 7.71 percent, while the partially convertible rupee closed at 62.1550/1650 per dollar versus Friday’s close of 62.1950/2050.
