Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched a new version of TCS MasterCraft enhanced with GenAI and Agentic AI. This update aims to automate the modernisation of legacy applications, cutting costs by over 70% and delivering results twice as fast as traditional methods.

The upgraded TCS MasterCraft enables quicker and more accurate extraction of business logic from old systems. By using automation, it reduces the need for manual conversions, making the process more efficient and less expensive.

One of North America’s largest banks has already used this solution to modernise its mainframe applications. The project delivered double the productivity and completed the work three times faster than usual methods. It also created a central knowledge base with 90% less effort.

TCS is also working with a global financial services company in the US to convert over 50 million lines of COBOL code into Java using the AI-powered MasterCraft. This helps companies speed up modernisation while building a reusable central knowledge system.
