The new Nokia 8 Android phone was found on Chinese e-commerce website JD.com for pre-registrations. The new smartphone looks like the flagship device for Nokia, which is relaunching itself at the MWC on February 2017, going by its price. The Nokia 8 Android phone is speculated to be launched at the same MWC event in 2017. According to the JD.com, Nokia 8 has been listed with a price tag of CNY 3,188, which roughly translates to Rs 31,000 in Indian currency. Although, if the smartphone is launched in India at any price close to this, it would likely give other flagship phones in the same range a run for their money. It, however, has to be noted that Nokia has not officially confirmed the listing of the flagship smartphone. Although, such listings do mean that the Nokia 8 could officially be announced at the MWC a week later on Sunday.
Specifications:
Nokia 8 is rumoured to be operated by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC. The picture of the phone in the listing on Chinese e-commerce websites show that the device has an ultra-slim-bezel display and has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. The screen resolution is expected to be 1440 x 2560 pixels. On the camera front, the handset is expected to be featuring a 24-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation. IT would also have a front camera of 12 megapixels. The smartphone is also rumoured to be launched with 2 storage versions; 64 GB and 128 GB; with varying prices for both.
