The smart TV market is evolving slowly and steadily, with premium features slowly trickling down to more affordable segments. For less than Rs 15,000, you can now enjoy a modern-day smart TV experience, thus getting access to OTT apps without missing out on the large-screen experience. QLED technology, which emerged into the mainstream TV market a few years ago, is now available in budget segments. Xiaomi’s latest offering, the QLED TV G32 2025, aims to democratise the quantum dot technology to the budget 32-inch category, priced competitively at Rs 13,999.
While this sounds tempting for a smart TV buyer on a tight budget, does the Xiaomi QLED TV G32 2025 actually deliver on its promises? We used the TV for a few days to find out.
Design and Connectivity
The design aesthetic of the Xiaomi QLED TV G32 2025 is minimalist, featuring narrow bezels that contribute to a more expansive screen-to-body ratio. It certainly makes the TV more premium than its price tag suggests. It comes with essential ports to cater to common connectivity needs, which include 2x HDMI ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x AV port, 1 x Ethernet, 1 x 3.5mm earphone port and 1 x Antenna port.
Display
The whole selling point of the Xiaomi QLED TV G32 2025 is the QLED technology. However, what Xiaomi doesn’t advertise is that you get a simple VA LCD-type panel with QLED backlighting, pushing only a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. Hence, for those used to larger and nicer QLED panels, you should dial down your expectations.

That said, for its price point, the display delivers a surprisingly excellent contrast. This translates to deep blacks and good shadow detail when viewing HDR content, especially for a TV in this price range. With a colour gamut coverage rated at 90 per cent DCI-P3, the panel’s colour performance is among the best in this segment we have seen. That said, the colour accuracy could be off in certain situations and hence, those considering it as a monitor for their professional work should stay away.
Another thing to note is the limited viewing angles, which is a common characteristic of VA panels. Hence, unless you sit right in front of the TV, you might observe colour fading at the edges from the extreme angles. We tried both 24 fps and 60 fps content on the TV via YouTube and a gaming console (Xbox Series X), wherein the TV handled both of them well.
Audio performance
The Xiaomi QLED TV G32 2025 is powered by 20W speaker system. While small speakers usually aren’t ideal for an immersive experience, the speaker system here is decent for a casual TV watching experience. The inclusion of Dolby Audio, DTS:X, and DTS Virtual:X make the experience a tad better. While the speaker performance is decent for a TV of its category, you will need to settle for external speaker systems for a better movie experience.
Smart features

Another highlight of the Xiaomi QLED TV G32 2025 is the presence of Google TV OS – a rarity in this price class that usually offers Android TV or Amazon’s Fire OS. With its Quad-Core A53 CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage, this TV manages to deliver a reasonably fluid user experience for most basic smart TV functions. The PatchWall interface is an alternative UI to the Google TV UI, offering a content-heavy interface aimed to keeping you entertained. You get support for Chromecast streaming as standard. We did not observe any lag or performance issues during our time with the TV. The remote control is thoughtfully designed, including a full number pad and a dedicated button for Google Assistant, thus making it easier for both smart TV and cable TV usage.
Conclusion
The Xiaomi QLED TV G32 2025 emerges as a compelling value-for-money option in the budget TV space. The QLED panel experience at this price point is a significant positive factor, coupled with a great smart TV experience powered by Google TV and PatchWall UI. Hence, if you are looking for your first smart TV or a second TV for your bedroom, this Xiaomi QLED TV G32 2025 is worth considering.
