Xiaomi ‘Desh ka Smartphone’ is finally set for launch tomorrow (November 30). After several teasers and tweets, the Chinese mobile maker will reveal the India-centric smartphone. The Xiaomi’s new device will be on sale exclusively on e-commerce website Flipkart. According to the teasers posted on the company’s social media handles, the new smartphone is expected to contain big battery and support multitasking. Flipkart has started to tease the highly anticipated ‘Desh ka Smartphone’ on its portal after creating a page dedicated to the device. However, the website does not reveal the specifications of the smartphone. But Flipkart still revealed some of the key highlights of the new Xiaomi mobile.
The new Xiaomi budget smartphone is expected to be offering an exceptional battery life, a feature no very common for phones in the entry-level segment. The teaser of the phone also suggests the device has been made with a focus on multi-tasking. This essentially means that the Xiaomi device will be a really fast for a phone in the segment. It has been speculated that the smartphone will be the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. This device was launched in China earlier. Full information regarding the Xiaomi smartphone will be announced by the company on November 30 at an event to be held in Delhi. It is expected that the ‘Desh ka Smartphone’ to be priced under Rs 5000. If this is true, it will be Xiaomi’s most affordable phone in the country until now.
When it comes to specifications, Xiaomi Redmi 5A features a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a Quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. The phone supports a hybrid SIM slot, which means users can put in either two nano SIM cards or a SIM card and a microSD card. The phone gets a 13MP rear shooter with f/2.2 aperture and flash. There is a 5MP shooter on the front with f/2.0 aperture. It ships with company’s MIUI 9 software with Android Nougat. The device is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
Last week, the company’s Vice President and India MD, Manu Jain had indicated plans to launch a phone for the Indian population. Since then, Xiaomi has been building hype around the ‘Desh ka Smartphone’. This phone will be launched under Xiaomi’s popular Redmi series.
