Xiaomi 15 series India launch is confirmed. On the sidelines of its global unveiling at MWC 2025, Xiaomi revealed that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra are coming to India on 11th April. The Xiaomi 15 Pro—like its predecessor Xiaomi 14 Pro—will remain a China exclusive.

The 15 and 15 Ultra are two very different flagship phones. While the 15 is compact, the 15 Ultra goes all out on size and features, representing the latest and greatest that Xiaomi has to offer at the time of writing. The core hardware and software experience is shared. Both phones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform and run Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

Xiaomi 15 series India launch details

“The India details and availability for the Xiaomi 15 series will be announced on March 11, 2025,” Xiaomi announced in a statement shared with the media soon after its global launch event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. We can expect Xiaomi to launch both the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra in India on the same day. If experience tells us anything, the Ultra model will be available in limited quantities, which has also seemingly been confirmed by the company, on X (previously Twitter), when it says that “it’s not for everyone.” But we’ll see.

Xiaomi 15 series: Price expectations

Xiaomi has launched the 15 in Europe at a starting price of EUR 999 for a version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This translates to about Rs 90,800 in INR. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at EUR 999 which is roughly Rs 1,36,320. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra was launched in India at a price of Rs 99,999 (the Xiaomi 14 came in at Rs 69,999 starting) so, we have reason to believe that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra could cross the 1 lakh price barrier given its top-notch hardware.

In Europe, the “Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit Legend Edition” which is essentially an elaborate camera accessory for the phone, is priced at EUR 199 which is roughly Rs 18,100. It would be interesting to see if Xiaomi brings it to India, in which case, we’ll have to see if it sells it as a separate accessory or part of a bundle deal like the “reserve edition” of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
