Alongside the Vivo X Fold 5, Vivo has launched the highly anticipated X200 FE in the Indian market, positioning it as a strong contender in the competitive compact mid-range smartphone segment, one that’s dominated by the likes of the OnePlus 13s and Apple iPhone 16. Designed to offer a tempting blend of cameras, long battery life, and robust performance, the X200 FE aims to attract users seeking premium features without the flagship price tag and a compact design.
The Vivo X200 FE, which is loosely based on the Vivo S30 Pro Mini from China, enters the highly contested premium midrange market in India. The phone comes in a base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, costing Rs 54,999. The top-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs Rs 59,999. The X200 FE will be available in Luxe Gray, Amber Yellow and Frost Blue colourways.
Vivo X200 FE features and specifications
The Vivo X200 FE features a sleek and compact design, maintaining a thickness of under 8mm, with flat sides more akin to Apple’s iPhone 16. It sports a 6.31-inch FHD+ resolution AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, promising a vibrant visual experience for everyday tasks, media consumption, and browsing.
Another major highlight of the X200 FE is its camera system. The device comes equipped with dual 50MP ZEISS-branded lenses on the rear for main and telephoto shooters, promising exceptional photography capabilities in its price segment. This primary setup is complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
Under the hood, the Vivo X200 FE is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor – a flagship chip from 2024. It comes with UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring fast app loading and data transfer speeds. The smartphone runs on Vivo’s FunTouch OS 15, based on the latest Android 15, offering a feature-rich and intuitive user interface.
Battery life is another key strength of the X200 FE, as it packs a substantial 6,500mAh silicon carbide battery – a large capacity battery for a compact flagship device. Furthermore, the device supports 90W wired fast charging, allowing for rapid power-ups and minimising downtime.
Durability is also a focus, with the X200 FE boasting IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, making it resilient against immersion in water and even high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
The Vivo X200 FE takes on the likes of the OnePlus 13s, Samsung Galaxy S25 and the iPhone 16, offering a premium compact flagship-class experience.
