Galaxy G Fold
A tipster going by the name of Yeux1122 on the South Korean blog Naver claims that Samsung will call its tri-folding phone ‘Galaxy G Fold.’ Samsung is said to follow the naming pattern of its Z Fold series.
A larger display and unique folding mechanism
Past reports and rumours suggest that the Galaxy G Fold will sports a 9.96-inch display, making it significantly larger than the 7.6-inch screen on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The device is said to measure 6.54 inches when unfolded.
When folded, the device is expected to measure 6.54 inches. Samsung’s tri-fold phone is said to differ from its closest competitor- Huawei Mate XT- in terms of its folding mechanism. According to a recent report by South Korea’s ETNews, the phone is expected to feature a unique inward folding mechanism so making it more compact and better screen protection.
January 2026 launch likely
According to tipster Yeux1122, Samsung plans to release the Galaxy G Fold in January next year. The company is said to produce nearly 300,000 units or fewer due to the complex manufacturing process and high production costs.
Measurement details
Samsung Galaxy G Fold could weigh same as Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate; however, the former could be slightly thicker. Also, the phone is said to feature newly developed displays and protective films to enhance durability.
A premium Fold with high price tag
Samsung’s entry into the tri-fold segment is expected to come with a hefty price tag, given its advanced folding mechanism and large screen.
