Samsung is set to host its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on July 9, 2025. The tech giant is expected to showcase its next wave of foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Alongside these cutting-edge devices, the company is also rumored to unveil Galaxy Buds Core, the latest iteration of the Galaxy Watch 8, and the long-speculated Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. This upcoming launch event is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s biggest product reveals of the year.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 specifications:
Although Samsung has yet to confirm specifics, a series of leaks and sneak peeks have only intensified the buzz ahead of the launch. The spotlight is firmly on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has been generating plenty of online chatter after new images of a promotional display surfaced on Reddit and the Korean site DogDrip. The visuals reveal a sleeker profile and a significantly more compact hinge, suggesting a notable redesign from the existing Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to be Samsung’s slimmest foldable yet, boasting a profile of approximately 3.9mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded shut. The device is expected to feature a triple rear camera system, accompanied by a redesigned LED flash. Some reports indicate that the main lens could be a powerful 200MP sensor, a major leap in imaging capabilities.
Internally, the Fold 7 is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite chipset, paired with a 4,400mAh battery for all-day usage. Storage variants may include 256GB, 512GB, and a top-tier 1TB option, while the most premium model could come equipped with up to 16GB of RAM. As for aesthetics, the foldable might be available in a fresh set of finishes: Coral Red, Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 specifications:
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also set for a notable overhaul. The cover display is tipped to grow from 3.4 inches to 4 inches, offering a more spacious interface for handling notifications, widgets, and quick tasks without flipping open the device. The inner foldable screen is rumored to expand slightly to 6.85 inches, made possible by slimmer bezels for a more immersive viewing experience.
Depending on the market, the Flip 7 may be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite chipset or Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 SoC. Under the hood, the clamshell-style phone could offer up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, along with a 4,300mAh battery to support extended use.
On the photography front, leaks suggest a 50MP primary sensor, complemented by a 12MP ultra-wide shooter and a 10MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The Z Flip 7 is expected to launch in color options like Blue Shadow, Classic White, and Midnight Black.
