The Galaxy S24 series has managed to do in three days, what the Galaxy S23 series did over a three-week period. Galaxy S24 series pre-bookings are apparently through the roof in India, Samsung said today, setting a record for its Galaxy S-series flagship phones.
This year’s batch— the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra— has received whopping 2,50,000 pre-bookings underscoring high demand and consumer appetite for premium devices in world’s fastest growing smartphone market.
Samsung launched the line-up in India at a global Unpacked event on January 17. Pre-bookings began the next day, itself, on January 18. And, in three days, it has become “the most successful S series ever”. Samsung mentions the older Galaxy S23 series had secured as many pre-bookings in three weeks.
The company attributes its stronger than ever line-up, supercharged by Galaxy AI, and the Indian consumer’s propensity to accept new technology as reasons behind the success.
“Galaxy S24 series, powered by Galaxy AI, ushers in a new era of mobile revolution and puts the power of AI in the hands of consumers to open new possibilities,” Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President of MX Business at Samsung India said in a prepared statement sent over email.
“The huge success of Galaxy S24 series demonstrates that Indian consumers are early adopters of new technology,” he added.
The Galaxy S24 comes in a choice of 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB for Rs 79,999 and Rs 89,999, respectively. While the Galaxy S24 Plus comes in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB trims for Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,09,999. The top-shelf Galaxy S24 Ultra is available with 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 12GB/1TB for Rs 1,29,999, Rs 1,39,999, and Rs 1,59,999, respectively.
Per usual, Samsung is offering a bunch of deals and offers to pre-booking customers to make its new phones more desirable. Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra pre-booking customers can avail benefits worth up to Rs 22,000 including a free storage upgrade (512GB if you pick the 256GB variant) plus a Rs 12,000 upgrade bonus. Galaxy S24 gets you an upgrade bonus worth Rs 15,000 on pre-booking.
