Samsung Galaxy S24 FE vs S23 FE: Check what’s new, all differences, price, features compared

Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 FE globally—India included—last night. FE stands for ‘fan edition’ in Samsung parlance. The idea is to offer a more affordable flagship Galaxy S experience so it can reach to more people. And rightly so, the template for this year’s FE phone is the Galaxy S24 Plus. The S24 FE packs notable upgrades over the S23 FE, but the prices haven’t gone up. The starting price is still Rs 59,999, which is same as the S23 FE at launch. You get 8GB of RAM by default and extended 7-year software support like the rest of the S24 series devices.

There’s a whole lot more in case you were wondering. The display is now bigger. There is a faster processor inside. The battery is bigger. While the camera system is enhanced by the  ProVisual engine, flagship technology that’s coming to the FE line for the first time. The design seems familiar but the build materials are more solid with the addition of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus. In a word, this might easily be the best Galaxy FE phone ever made with the potential to give Galaxy S24 Plus-like experience without breaking the bank.

1. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE vs S23 FE India prices: Samsung Galaxy S24 FE price in India is set at Rs 59,999 for 8GB/128GB and Rs 65,999 for 8GB/256GB. The top-end variant costs Rs 1,000 more than what an S23 FE equivalent cost at launch.
2. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE vs S23 FE display: The Galaxy S24 FE has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X 1080p display, 120Hz refresh rate display and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus screen protection. The Galaxy S23 FE has a smaller 6.4-inch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
3. Samsung Galaxy S24 FE vs S23 FE processor: The Galaxy S24 FE is powered by the Samsung Exynos 2200e, which seems to be an enhanced version of the Exynos 2200 inside the Galaxy S23 FE with a higher 3.1Ghz clock speed. Samsung claims the S24 FE has a 1.1x larger vapour chamber and so, sustained performance could be better than on the S23 FE.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE vs S23 FE cameras: The camera system remains unchanged—triple rear cameras with 50-megapixel f/1.8 primary, 12-megapixel ultrawide, another 8-megapixel 3x zoom telephoto, and 10-megapixel camera for selfies. The updates ISP  (image signal processor) and Samsung’s ProVisual engine promises better photos, especially in challenging light.
