Poco X7 series arrives in India with 1.5K AMOLED screens, MediaTek processors: Specs, prices

Poco has launched its highly anticipated X7 series in India, comprising the Poco X7 5G and the Poco X7 Pro 5G. The series has been introduced with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar as the brand ambassador.

Poco X7 series: Price and offers

The Poco X7 5G will be available starting at a price of Rs 19,999 for the base 8GB/128GB variant, with launch offers. The 8GB/256GB model is priced at a net effective Rs 21,999. Customers can avail of a Rs 2,000 discount through ICICI, SBI, and HDFC Bank cards or exchange offers. Additionally, Poco is offering 9-month no-cost EMI options, making it more accessible for buyers.

The Poco X7 Pro 5G will be priced at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant and Rs 26,999 for the 12GB/256GB varaint, with special launch offers that include a Rs 1,000 discount on the first day and a Rs 2,000 discount on bank card payments or exchange. The X7 Pro also comes with a 12-month no-cost EMI option. Both devices will be available exclusively on Flipkart, with sales for the X7 Pro beginning on January 14 and the X7 5G on January 17, 2025.

Poco X7: Specs and features

The Poco X7 5G boasts a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED 3D Curved Display with a peak brightness of 3000 nits and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top for durability. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset, the device falls back on its 5500mAh battery for all-day usage, supported by 45W fast charging.

The camera setup is led by a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, equipped with AI-driven features such as AI Night Mode and AI Erase Pro. The phone is IP66, IP68, and IP69 rated making it durable against water and dust exposure.

On the other hand, the Poco X7 Pro 5G takes things a step further with a 6550mAh battery, enhanced by Silicon Carbon Technology and solid electrolyte for improved efficiency, longevity, and safety. This battery is complemented by 90W fast charging, which can charge the device from 0% to 50% in just 19 minutes, per Poco. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor, the X7 Pro claims to deliver 20% faster performance and sustained high frame rates.

Its 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and peak brightness of 3200 nits is coupled with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The 50MP Sony LYT-600 camera with OIS is further enhanced by AI features such as AI Smart-Clip and AI Sky. Additionally, the X7 Pro is the first device to feature Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 in India, which brings a host of AI-powered functionalities, including AI Subtitles, AI Notes, and AI Translation, enhancing productivity and personalisation.

Both phones in the X7 Series position themselves as strong contenders in the sub-Rs 30,000 market, competing with rivals like Realme, OnePlus, and Samsung.
