Oppo’s Find X7 series is officially launching in China on January 8, 2024. The Chinese smartphone major has commenced taking reservations for the Oppo Find X7 and Oppo Find X7 Ultra ahead of launch, revealing their full back panel design and memory configurations. Core specs are still under the wraps though.
The Find X is Oppo’s top-of-the-line range boasting of premium design and flagship photography hardware. What that means is that the Oppo Find X7 Ultra would become Oppo’s most powerful and spec-heavy slab phone in the coming days and what that also means is that, there’s a slim chance of it launching anywhere else outside of China. The Find X7 would be a relatively less expensive phone than the ultra, with watered-down specs like a less powerful chip and cameras.
Anyhow, coming to what’s been announced, the Find X7 series looks dashing to say the very least basis of all the renders shared by Oppo on its online store for China. The design may seem familiar, what with all the high-end phones from BBK Group now looking all the same, but the finish is completely brand new.
The Find X7 is confirmed to come in a choice of Smoky Purple, Starry Sky Black, The Sea and the Sky, and Desert Silver Moon colours with the first two being all glass while the last two getting a dual tone which is part faux leather and part glass. The Find X7 Ultra on the other hand comes in The Sea and the Sky, Desert Silver Moon, and Pine Shadow all with a dual tone finish.
One of the biggest differences between the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra would be the cameras with the Ultra model set to bring not one but two periscope-style telephoto lenses into the mix paired to a wide and another ultra-wide. The Find X7 has only three cameras: wide, ultra-wide and telephoto. Both the phones will benefit from Oppo/OnePlus’s ongoing partnership with Hasselblad.
Elsewhere, while the Oppo Find X7 will be available with 12/GB256GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB, the Find X7 Ultra will come in 12/GB256GB, 16GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB memory configurations.
While not explicitly confirmed, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra is tipped to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, while the Oppo Find X7 is expected to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300. Watch this space for more updates.
