OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R have officially landed in India today, per schedule. Announced at OnePlus’s global smooth beyond belief event in the National Capital, the OnePlus 12 series is the company’s answer to Samsung’s Galaxy S24 line-up launched last week, of course at lower “flagship-killer” pricing.
The OnePlus 12 starts at Rs 64,999 and brings top-tier hardware including Qualcomm’s fastest chip and wireless charging. The OnePlus 12R is a relatively less expensive phone, with a starting price of Rs 39,999, but it also packs a bunch of powerful hardware specs including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 120Hz LTPO display. Both phones run OxygenOS 14 out of the box and are eligible for four years of software updates.

The OnePlus 12 comes in a choice of 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB for Rs 64,999 and Rs 69,999. The OnePlus 12R comes in 8GB/128GB and 16GB/256GB trims for Rs 39,999 and Rs 45,999.
The 12 will be available starting January 30 while the 12R will come a bit later from February 6. OnePlus says pre-bookings for the 12 starts soon after launch, i.e., January 23, 8:45 PM onwards.

The OnePlus 12 has a 6.82-inch 1440p LTPO AMOLED display with up 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can peak 4,500 nits and has aqua touch, a feature that should allow for accurate touch response when wet. The phone itself is IP65 rated.
Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 along with a 5,400mAh battery with 100W fast wired and 50W wireless charging support.
The camera setup is lifted as is from the OnePlus Open and so you get a combination of a 50-megapixel main Sony LYT-808 sensor, 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 sensor behind an ultrawide lens and another 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor behind a 3x periscope telephoto lens. On the front, the OnePlus 12 has a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
The more affordable OnePlus 12R gets a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Like the 12, it can top 4,500 nits and has aqua touch. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a slightly bigger 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
The OnePlus 12 comes in Flowy Emerald and Silky Black, while the OnePlus 12R comes in Cool Blue or Iron Gray— both with glass back and metal frame.
