OnePlus is one tech company who listens to its customers and gives a preferential treatment to them. Through their forum, they have addressed many issues faced by their users and have rectified them as quickly as possible. A similar issue was rectified by the OnePlus team as soon they came to know about it. Earlier this month, OnePlus brought the OTA Oxygen OS v5.0.3 update for the OnePlus 5T which was based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The update brought many cool features for the flagship from OnePlus, however, it had a few drawbacks.
Post the update, many users started facing issues with the ringtone and volume playback while viewing videos on the smartphone. The users took to the OnePlus forum which was duly noted by the engineers at OnePlus. Hence, OnePlus has started rolling out an incremental or phased update of Oxygen OS 5.0.4 for the OnePlus 5T. Along the minor tweaks, the update is likely to fix: ‘NO ringtone for incoming calls and notifications’ issue that was faced by many users. The other issue it addresses is that they have fixed the ‘Audio quality related issues during video playback.’
Manu J, from the Product Operations of OnePlus’ team took to the forum announced about the update. Users may not be able to get the update just yet, but OnePlus has started rolling out the update in a phased manner, that means OnePlus users may get the update soon. As per the forum, the OTA update will reach a limited number of users for now, and in the coming days, it will reach a wider audience.
With the earlier update of Oxygen OS v5.0.3, OnePlus brought a ton of new features that were available on Android 8.0 Oreo. Some of the basic Android 8.0 Oreo features like the Notification Dots, Picture-in-Picture, Autofill and more can be seen on Oneplus 5T.
