The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition was launched in India today, per schedule. The “electro violet” colourway launched in collaboration with HoYoverse is based on the Genshin Impact character Keqing and comes with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. for fans and enthusiasts invested in the game, we’re happy to report that “this” edition comes bundled with both in-box collectible items as well as software-level integration, to give you the chills. The OnePlus 11R solar red, which was also a Genshin Impact collaboration, came without any goodies.
OnePlus has put in lot of effort designing and redesigning the existing OnePlus 12R to satisfy long-time fans of the much-popular game known for its high-end graphics. For one, this version comes in violet with silvery white feather motifs. The frame, it seems, was harder to make as it involves a new “electro etching” process to engrave the text “Keqing” onto the top edge of the phone. OnePlus says it can reflect light and “project the characters for KEQING onto nearby surfaces when illuminated.”
The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition comes with “deeply customised OxygenOS 14,” OnePlus says, “transforming the user interface to reflect the fantasy world of Teyvat from Genshin Impact.” The customisation extends from system app icons, charging, power-on and fingerprint unlock animations, to the always-on display. You also get exclusive live wallpaper and custom ringtone.
Then there are the goodies. There are lots of them— a lightning stiletto-shaped SIM tray ejector, a violet charging adapter with electro element and lightning stiletto logos, and a violet USB Type-C charging cable with a violet LED light and a 90-degree design all put together inside an exclusive gift box.
The specs remain unchanged and so, the phone gets you a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness with aqua touch, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging, 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor, paired to an 8-megapixel ultrawide and another 2-megapixel macro, and 16MP camera for selfies.
The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition will be available at a price of Rs 49,999 from March 19 on OnePlus online, Amazon and select OnePlus experience stores.
