The OnePlus 12 officially goes in sale in India starting from January 30. Pre-bookings are under way at the time of writing. OnePlus 12 price in India starts at Rs 64,999. This is for a version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
OnePlus 12 launch price is a good Rs 8,000 more than last year’s OnePlus 11. OnePlus is lessening the blow by offering twice the storage at the base level along with other customary upgrades like the latest Qualcomm chip and bigger battery. Also, wireless charging is back, this year. The design has been fine-tuned a bit and there is stronger cover glass at the front and a brighter display underneath.
Here are 12 things you need to know about OnePlus 12 before you buy it:
- OnePlus 12 design, build materials: The OnePlus 12 looks almost exactly like the OnePlus 11, with a few changes, the biggest being the re-positioned alert slider. It’s now on the left side and frankly, a bit higher than usual, and so, it could take some time getting used to. The back panel is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 (just like the OnePlus 11). The frame is metal. The 12 is a bit heavier and thicker than the 11 which seems justified since it’s also a slightly bigger phone.
- OnePlus 12 IP-rating, colour choices: The OnePlus 12 is a slight step-up over the 11. It is IP65 rated. The phone comes in a choice of Flowy Emerald and Silky Black.

The panel can peak 4,500 nits and has aqua touch, a feature to prevent ghost touches when the screen is wet. It has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Support for 2,160Hz PWM dimming is available on the 12.
- OnePlus 12 processor: The OnePlus 12 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
- OnePlus 12 RAM, storage: The OnePlus 12 comes in a choice of 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB. RAM is of the LPDDR5x type, while storage is UFS4.0.
- OnePlus 12 software, update support: The OnePlus 12 runs OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 with up to four years of claimed updates from OnePlus.
- OnePlus 12 rear camera setup: The OnePlus 12 has a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main Sony LYT-808 sensor, 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 sensor behind an ultrawide lens and another 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor behind a 3x periscope telephoto lens, same as the OnePlus Open.
