The New York Times’ Connections puzzle is an engaging daily word game that invites players to uncover hidden connections between groups of words. With 16 words in total and four distinct groups to figure out, it’s an excellent way to challenge your vocabulary and problem-solving skills.

How to Play NYT Connections

The goal of the game is to sort the 16 words into four groups of four, based on a shared theme. But watch out! You only get four guesses, and each wrong guess reduces your remaining attempts. The game uses a color-coding system to guide your progress, showing you which connections are easier or harder to identify, so you can adjust your strategy accordingly.

Where to Play NYT Connections

You can play NYT Connections for free on The New York Times’ website or through their Games app. A new puzzle is released every day at midnight, so there’s always a fresh challenge waiting for you.

Tips to Improve Your Guesses

Stuck on a tricky puzzle? Try starting with a set of three words that seem to belong together and then figure out where the fourth one fits in. As you start identifying some connections, use them to help you solve the remaining ones. Stay patient and explore all possible word associations – each guess brings you closer to the solution.

With new puzzles each day, NYT Connections is a fun and mentally stimulating way to keep your brain engaged!
