Since its launch in the year 2023, the NYT Connections has gained a tremendous amount of fame and love from internet users. Achieving many milestones and attracting around 10 million users per day, the NYT Connections has become one of the most loved games offered by any news organisation. The Times has rolled out other games too, along with the NYT Connections, and you can find and access all that on the Times platform and NYTimes.com/games/connection.

What is NYT Connection, and how do you play?

The NYT Connection gives you a 4 x 4 grid in which there is a total of 16 words placed, and the words are divided into four sets. Each word in a particular set has something in common with the rest. You have to identify each set by selecting four words.

For example, if there are Sachin, Dhoni, Virat, and Rohit mentioned among the 16 words, then you instantly get an idea that these words can make up a set, as there’s something common that connects them. After you select four words from the grid, you will have to hit the submit button, and if your selected words make a set, then all the selected words will vanish from your screen, and similarly, you have to identify all four sets.

The sets are divided into four difficulty levels, which are denoted by colors. The yellow is the easiest, then comes green, blue, and lastly purple. To identify all these sets correctly, you will be given only four lives, and once you run out of those, your game will be over.
