Motorola is launching yet another budget phone in India soon. The upcoming phone, which is called the Moto G24 Power, is confirmed to launch in the country on January 30. The phone’s full spec sheet and design have been revealed ahead of launch. Like the recently launched Moto G34 5G, the Moto G24 Power appears to be well-specced, though it is 4G only.
The Moto G24 Power’s biggest USP seems to be its big battery. Motorola is launching the phone with a 6,000mAh battery. The phone also supports quick charging up to 33W. Powering the phone will be the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It will be paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Another big highlight of the Moto G24 Power will be its software. Like the Moto G34, it will also run Android 14 out of the box, and we can expect it to be “Android 15 ready” like the former.
The display specs appear to be mostly similar with the Moto G24 Power set to come with a 6.5-inch 720p LCD display, though Motorola has dropped the refresh rate to 90Hz (the G34 has 120Hz).
For photography, the Moto G24 Power is confirmed to come with a 50-megapixel main camera and secondary sensor that’s likely to be a 2-megapixel macro. The front camera will be a 16-megapixel.
The rest of the packaging includes an IP52 splash water repellant design with a choice of glacier blue and ink blue colourways, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos playback support, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics.
Motorola has been launching some decent budget phones lately. The Moto G34 5G is the country’s first “truly affordable 5G” phone, with barely any perceivable compromise. The phone packs a 120Hz screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip, the latest Android 14 software, and a 5,000mAh battery all at a starting price of Rs 10,999.
