If you want free Netflix with your carrier plan, in India, your options are pretty limited. Maybe it’s because Netflix is the most premium, most expensive OTT platform among its peers, bundling it with a telecom plan, especially prepaid plan, is easier said than done. That said, it’s not that options don’t exist at all.

Jio and Airtel both have one prepaid plan at least for those subscribers who want—among other benefits—access to free Netflix. In either case, you will get access to Netflix basic plan only which is worth Rs 199 per month if purchased stand-alone. The basic Netflix plan lets you watch and download content on a single screen in 720p or HD resolution.

Reliance Jio

Jio has two dedicated prepaid plans with Netflix included. Both cost over Rs 1,000 which is to say that could be pricy for many. The entry-level option is worth Rs 1,099. The other is available for Rs 1,499. Both prepaid plans are quite similar in terms of perks having similar validity and—most importantly—unlimited 5G data. This means, if you’re in an eligible area, and have a 5G compatible smartphone, your data is virtually free. For those who don’t have this luxury, Jio still bundles enough data to keep even the most discerning user satisfied.

Jio Rs 1,099 prepaid plan details

The Rs 1,099 prepaid recharge plan from Jio gets you 2GB high-speed data per day. It has a total validity of 84 days so your lump sum data becomes 168GB. In addition, the plan bundles unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day. Free access to Netflix basic is a big USP of this plan, though you also get JioTV, JioCinema (not premium), and JioCloud complimentary subscriptions.

Jio Rs 1,499 prepaid plan details

The Rs 1,499 prepaid recharge plan has the same basic benefits as the Rs 1,099 plan. The only difference is that, it bundles more data. The Rs 1,499 prepaid plan from Jio comes with 3GB high-speed data per data. It also has a validity of 84 days and so, the total lump sum data comes out to be 252GB. You get the option of unlimited 5G here as well in addition to unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day.

Bharti Airtel

Cut to Airtel, and the telco only shows one prepaid recharge plan with free Netflix on its website at the time of writing. It is worth Rs 1,499. It seems a direct response to Jio’s Rs 1,499 prepaid plan because spec-by-spec, it offers the same set of benefits including access to unlimited 5G which isn’t very common in Airtel plans.

Airtel Rs 1,499 prepaid plan details

The Rs 1,499 prepaid recharge plan from Airtel gets you 3GB high-speed data per day. It has a total validity of 84 days so your lump sum data becomes 252GB. In addition, the plan bundles unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day. Access to free Netflix basic plan is available.
