Hot on the heels of the iQOO 12, iQOO is gearing for yet another product launch in China. The Vivo spin-off has announced the iQOO Neo 9 series which will make its debut starting with China on December 27. There will be two phones: the iQOO Neo 9 and iQOO Neo 9 Pro. They will be follow-ups to the iQOO Neo 8 and iQOO Neo 8 Pro.
Ahead of launch, iQOO has revealed a key hardware detail for both of these phones. The choice of processor. iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO Neo 9 Pro will come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300. The iQOO Neo 9 will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 at the helm. You’ll also get Vivo’s Q1 chip for frame-rate interpolation allowing supported games to run at higher frame rate.
iQOO has previously shared the first look of the iQOO Neo 9 series phones hyping up their dual-tone design. The hero colour will be a combination of white and red, though the design scheme isn’t just limited to colour palette. iQOO seems to be using two different textures on the back of the iQOO Neo 9 series phones, though both appear to have a leather/woven finish.
iQOO seems to have hit gold when it comes to product designs lately. The iQOO 12 also features revamped aesthetics after years of following a similar template. It’s nice to see iQOO refreshing its relatively more affordable product line, as well. The iQOO Neo 9 series phones are also confirmed to come in blue and black, though those would come in a single shade.
iQOO launched the iQOO Neo 7 Pro in India in July. The iQOO Neo 8 Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus is still awaited and so, we’ll just have to wait and watch if iQOO plans to bring its iQOO Neo 9 series to more markets outside of China.
