Apple is gearing up to showcase its newest devices at the “Awe Dropping” launch event on September 9. Taking center stage will be the iPhone 17 lineup, which is set to headline the announcements alongside refreshed Apple Watch models and the long-anticipated AirPods Pro 3. Along with these, the new Apple Watch and iOS 26 will also be debuting. This year’s iPhone family is rumored to consist of four editions — the regular iPhone 17, a sleeker iPhone 17 Air, and two Pro variants. The entry model is tipped to arrive with a bigger screen, a 24MP selfie camera, support for ProMotion technology with a 120Hz refresh rate, and may even debut with an always-on display option.

According to the database, the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to launch in two variants — one with a traditional SIM card slot and another that is eSIM-only, varying by region. In contrast, the standard iPhone 17 seems to have just one battery configuration listed in the records at this point. iPhone 17 series, which includes four devices: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, is expected to launch tomorrow. Along with these devices, the new Apple watch, AirPods and software update of iOS 26 will be available to the public. However, just to clear the air regarding what’s launching and here is everything you can expect.

iPhone 17 Pro India price:

Reports suggest that the iPhone 17 lineup could debut at around Rs 89,900 for the entry model, while the iPhone 17 Air may cost close to Rs 95,000, and the Pro Max might reach up to Rs 1,64,900. However, final pricing could vary depending on currency fluctuations and Apple’s global pricing approach. A JPMorgan analysis indicates that the base iPhone 17 will likely maintain its $799 price tag, unchanged from the iPhone 16, whereas the newly introduced iPhone 17 Air, set to replace the Plus variant, may fall in the $899–$949 range.

iPhone 17 Pro Camera:

In terms of photography, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to see a major leap forward with a 48MP triple-camera setup, covering Wide, Ultrawide, and Telephoto lenses. Notably, the telephoto sensor is said to jump from the existing 12MP resolution to 48MP, marking a substantial improvement. The Pro variant may also introduce exclusive capabilities, such as a mechanical aperture for enhanced depth-of-field control and 8K video recording support, aimed at users seeking a more professional-grade shooting experience.

iPhone 17 Pro Chipset:

The iPhone 17 Pro will continue to stand as the flagship offering in Apple’s portfolio, equipped with a set of exclusive enhancements. At its core, the device is anticipated to run on the A19 Pro chipset, developed using TSMC’s cutting-edge 3nm technology, promising greater efficiency and performance. It is also expected to pack 12GB of RAM, enabling smoother multitasking and unlocking the full potential of advanced Apple Intelligence capabilities.

iPhone 17 Pro Design:

Freshly leaked renders highlight several notable design tweaks in the upcoming lineup. The regular iPhone 17 is expected to retain a look that’s largely identical to the iPhone 16, complete with its vertically aligned dual cameras and the familiar button placement. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Air introduces a striking new design with a single wide camera bar stretching across the rear — a dramatic shift from past models. This version also appears to be exceptionally slim, backing rumors of an ultra-thin 5.5mm chassis.

The Pro editions are also getting a refreshed aesthetic. Leaks suggest the iPhone 17 Pro will showcase a revamped triple-lens arrangement, with the flash relocated to the right side and the Apple logo shifted further down. Meanwhile, both the Pro and Pro Max are tipped to feature a hybrid camera housing crafted from aluminium with a glass lower half, lending the devices a distinctive, high-end finish.

iPhone 17 Pro Battery:

Apple traditionally keeps the exact battery capacities of its iPhones under wraps, but thanks to a more efficient processor paired with a larger battery, the iPhone 17 lineup is expected to deliver better endurance compared to previous models. When it comes to charging, reports suggest the series will stick to the same speeds as the current generation, topping out at around 25W fast charging. That said, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are rumored to introduce reverse wired charging, enabling users to power up accessories such as AirPods directly from their phone while on the move.
