While the higher 256GB and 512GB storage variants were discontinued by Apple post the iPhone 17 launch, Croma currently lists remaining stock of these models at Rs 76,490 and Rs 99,900, respectively.

Apple’s iPhone 16 is getting a major price cut in the Indian market just as the newer iPhone 17 witnesses a supply shortage. The flagship of Apple from 2024, the iPhone 16 has enjoyed a discounted price for most of 2025, and is now reaching a new effective low price of under Rs 63,000 on Croma. This aggressive pricing cut, which can be achieved through a combination of a permanent price cut along with immediate bank offers, is expected to boost sales of the year-old model and welcome more people to the Apple ecosystem.

The price adjustment on iPhone 16 followed a pattern typical of Apple’s older flagship devices – a newer model pushes down the price of the older one. After the global debut of the iPhone 17, the Cupertino tech giant officially slashed the retail price of the iPhone 16 by nearly Rs 10,000. This brought the price of the base 128GB storage variant down from its launch price of Rs 79,990 to a new official price of Rs 69,900.

However, Croma has taken the price drop even further as part of its promotional offers. Currently, the 128GB iPhone 16 is listed on the retailer’s website at Rs 66,990. The bigger savings come from discounts offered through partnerships with major banks. Customers using credit cards from IDFC First Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI are eligible for a discount of Rs 4,000.

When you factor in this instant bank cashback, the effective price for the iPhone 16 drops to a lowly Rs 62,990. This low price allows buyers to enjoy a total savings of up to Rs 6,900 from the standard list price of the iPhone 16, making the phone highly competitive against new-age Android flagships like the OnePlus 15, iQOO 15, and Vivo X300. The bank discount is also applicable to customers who opt for low-cost EMI plans exceeding six months.
