As soon as Apple launched its latest iPhone 16 series, users complained that they are facing issues with their phones. As reported by 9to5Mac, there has been a rise in the number of complaints of facing issues in iPhone 16 touchscreen.

The report explained that the iPhone 16 series touchscreen lagged behind and gave ‘slow’ responses. The user’s also complained that they were not getting responses while tapping on their screen.

iPhone 16 faces issue: What happened

A Reddit user said that the issue took place on iPhone 16 Pro max and iPhone 16 Pro users. The user explained that when the user touches the screen beside the camera control button, the display goes unresponsive. This stays on until and unless you release the camera button. Also the iOS rejects every time you touch on the home screen.

The reason behind this glitch can be associated with the ultra-slim screen bezels of the iPhone 16 series. The slim design can contribute to accidental contact with the edge of the screen. This eventually results in the phone to execute the ‘unwanted touch rejection.’ However, without any phone case, the display sometimes executes the same thing. So, as of now it’s hard to understand what might be the root cause for this ‘unresponsive behaviour.’

It is suggested that the reason behind iPhone 16 screen lagging or being unresponsive, can be any software issue. Notably when not used, iPhone 16 is not facing this issue. This is majorly happening when a user is trying to open the lock of their devices. For example when a user is trying to swipe to other apps/platforms, the screen is going ‘unresponsive.’

iPhone 16: What’s the way ahead

The glitch that Apple’s latest iOS has developed can be defined as a ‘hypersensitivity’ issue. But what is a ‘hypersensitivity’ issue and how can it impact your user interface?  This is a phase where your device rejects real-time touch and strong interactions. For example, sometimes we touch our phone accidentally, so this ‘touch’ gets rejected. But in the case of the current situation, even if we are purposely touching the device, still our touch is getting rejected. This is eventually causing ‘unresponsive display.’ In addition to this it’s also slowing down the performance of your device.

Moreover, as the issue appears to arise from a software bug and not a hardware fault it is believed that issue can be solved soon . The Reddit user had also shared a screenshot explaining how the glitch is taking place. The user also suggested that as of now, you can try scrolling through your device with your left hand.
