Apple is usually secretive about its phone’s RAM and battery. The company launched its new iPhone 15 series recently wherein it talked about every top specs and features of the phones but once again missed out on RAM details. However, a new report from Apple news tracker MacRumours claims that Apple has given a major bump to its RAM this time.

According to the report, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models have more RAM than last year’s models. The report claims that the two devices will have 8GB of RAM, up from 6GB in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. With more RAM, the iPhone 15 Pro models will be able to handle even the most demanding tasks with ease.

Benefits of more RAM

The increased RAM capacity is expected to improve the performance and multitasking capabilities of the iPhone 15 Pro models. With more RAM, users will be able to keep more apps running in the background without minimal lag, or any slowdown. Additionally, the increased RAM will help in multitasking.

The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max also get a number of other upgrades, including a new A17 Pro chip, a 48-megapixel main camera sensor, and impressive zoom capabilities. The phones are up for grabs from September 22, with pre-orders starting today from 5:30 pm onwards.

The MacRumours report suggests that the RAM perks are only for the Pro models. This means that Apple is differentiating the Pro models from the standard models even further. The non-Pro models will likely come with 6GB RAM.

To put everything in perspective., the iPhone 14 series came with 6GB RAM. However, the Pro models this year. i.e. iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will get 8GB RAM while the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will stick to the same 6GB RAM.
