Big price drop alert! The iPhone 12 Mini is set to sell at a staggeringly low price of Rs 19,999 during the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days 2024 sale on September 27. The Walmart-owned e-commerce platform has made the sale prices live for several products ahead of its biggest sale event of the year, giving buyers an early peak into what to expect. The iPhone 12 Mini deal is definitely worth a look.
During the Flipkart Big Billion Days 2024 sale, Apple’s iPhone 12 Mini will sell for as low as Rs 19,999. This is for the base variant with 64GB of onboard storage. The iPhone 12 Mini’s 128GB and 256GB variants will be available at lower prices too, with the former to sell at Rs 24,999 and Rs 29,999. For those unaware, the iPhone 12 Mini was launched at a starting price of Rs 69,900 for 64GB while the 128GB and 256GB variants cost Rs 74,900 and Rs 84,900, respectively.
Making a case for iPhone 12 Mini in 2024
Over time, the prices have gone down. Apple doesn’t officially make the iPhone 12 Mini anymore. But clearly, Flipkart continues to have it—at least some—in stock and wants to clear it off, now more than ever. Over and above the flat discount, Flipkart says it will also give you up to 19,400 off on exchange for the 64GB iPhone 12 Mini, while in the case of the 128GB and 256GB variants, this number can go up to Rs 24,450 and Rs 29,200. This means you can snag the iPhone 12 Mini at a net effective Rs 599, Rs 549, and Rs 799.
Usually the top-tier discount is reserved for some impractical device, so, you don’t have to fall for it, but know that, some discount is available through exchange as well bringing the price of the iPhone 12 Mini down further.
Now, the big catch. The iPhone 12 Mini is from 2020 and while Apple is known to support its iPhones for over five years, with regular software and other updates, it’s almost retirement time for the iPhone 12 Mini. The iPhone 13 Mini, which is relatively newer, continues to be listed for Rs 64,900 (128GB), Rs 74,900 (256GB), and Rs 94,900 (512GB) on the same platform, despite the fact that Apple doesn’t sell it anymore, too.
But the good thing about Apple is, it keeps to its promises when it comes to update and support. iOS 18, which is the latest iOS version, is available for the iPhone 12 Mini on the same day as other newer iPhones like the 14 and 15. Apple Intelligence isn’t supported but even the 15 won’t support it. Everything else, including the Home Screen customisation features and call recording, will be coming to the iPhone 12 Mini.
So, if there’s a chance that you can get it at the prices that Flipkart is quoting, you should go ahead and get it. Whether it is to try iOS for the first time, or whether it is to have a secondary device at hand, it doesn’t get any better than this. Except maybe for the meddling battery life, it has everything—glass and metal body with IP68 rating, OLED display, OIS camera, 5G, and more.
