Instagram has announced a series of updates aimed at enhancing the creative experience for its users. The social media platform is introducing improvements to Reels, feed photos and carousels, Stories, and new filters that comes after ages.
The new photo filters allow users to explore different moods for their photos and carousels, offering more options for creative expression.
“New photo filters are here! Create the vibe you want by editing your photos and carousels with the latest filters. From subtle color edits to options for expressive styles, these updates make it easy for you to try various looks for your posts,” Instagram announced in a blog post.

Fade, Fade warm, Fade cool, Simple, Simple warm, Simple cool, Boost, Boost warm, Boost cool, Graphite, Hyper, Rosy, Emerald, Midnight, Grainy, Gritty, Halo, Color leak, Soft light, Zoom blur, Handheld, Moiré, Lo-res, Wide angle, and Wavy are some of the filters that have arrived on Instagram.
Other key updates include video editing tools like Undo and Redo to simplify the editing of individual video clips. Meme Creation which is a new Media Clip hub enables users to create memes by adding clips with audio to their Reels. Text enhancements that include new text-to-speech voices, updated fonts, and text styles to enhance creativity. Users can now add outlines for better text clarity. Instagram also gets custom stickers using which creators can make their Reels and Stories stand out by turning a portion of any photo or video into a custom sticker.
Instagram is also adding tools for deeper insights, such as the addition of Replays and a new Retention Chart that will help creators understand their performance better and make informed decisions about their content. Users can now access the audio browser or trending audio more easily, enhancing the selection of audio for their Reels.
The Drafts surface is also getting a makeover, making it simpler for creators to edit their in-progress Reels, preview drafts, rename them, and even schedule them in advance.
