Infinix recently introduced its latest gaming-centric smartphone, the GT 30 Pro 5G, in the Indian market. Sporting the eye-catching Cyber Mecha 2.0 design, it features customizable LED light panels on the back for a futuristic aesthetic. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, the device packs a large 5,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 30W wireless charging. As the successor to the GT 20 Pro 5G, this new model continues the gaming legacy with enhancements like shoulder triggers, the XBoost Gaming Engine, and a six-layer 3D vapor chamber cooling system. There’s also a dedicated e-sports mode to elevate the gaming experience. After using the GT 30 Pro 5G for a full week, here’s our hands-on impression.
Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G design and display:
The Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G features a vibrant 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that offers smooth visuals with its 144Hz refresh rate. Touch response feels snappy thanks to the 2,160Hz sampling rate, while the 2,304Hz PWM dimming helps reduce eye strain. With a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, the screen remains clear even in bright sunlight. TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free viewing, along with Gorilla Glass 7i protection, add to its appeal. Overall, it’s a sharp, smooth, and eye-friendly display.
There are four RGB light strips in total—two long ones and two shorter ones. You can change the lighting effects a bit, but the customization options are limited. The left side of the frame is plain, with no buttons or ports. However, the bottom side is packed with features. It includes the dual Nano-SIM tray, the main speaker, a microphone, and a USB Type-C charging port.
The top of the phone is also quite loaded. It has a second speaker grill, which helps provide a more balanced sound since both speakers face the same direction. You’ll also find a secondary microphone here for better audio pickup.
