G-SHOCK is aiming for the premium smartwatch segment with the release of two new models, the GM-110BD-1A9 and GM-110D-8A – both of which are paty of its G-STEEL series. These watches are part of the brand’s 110 series, combining analog and digital displays, and feature an upgraded stainless steel band and bezel.
The new models emphasise robust construction, thus incorporating G-SHOCK’s characteristic durability. Both models offer shock resistance and magnetic resistance, alongside 200-meter water resistance.
As far as functionality is concerned, the G-STEEL timepieces includes world time capabilities spanning 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, and five daily alarms. Each watch is also equipped with an LED light for visibility. Powering the watches is a battery with an approximate three-year life, supporting both analog and digital timekeeping displays.
The GM-110BD-1A9 features an all-black ion plating complemented by a gold-accented dial. This is the pricier of the two, coming in with a tag of Rs 26,995. The GM-110D-8A offers a silver-tone finish and is priced at Rs 21,995. Both the GM-110BD-1A9 and GM-110D-8A are currently available for purchase at exclusive Casio and G-SHOCK stores throughout India.
