Fujifilm is set to collaborate with Google for its new Instax Mini model. According to Android Police, the collaboration pairs the pink Google Pixel 9 with Fujifilm’s Instax Mini Link 3 pocket printer. Both devices come in a matching pink color. But could this be the only thing that makes the partnership special? Here’s more about what this collaboration has to offer.
Introducing the Instax Mini Link 3
The new partnership includes Google Fast Pair, allowing Pixel 9 users to print images directly from their phones using the Mini Link 3. Additionally, users can customize each photo via the app before printing.
The Instax Mini is a smartphone printer that syncs with your phone to print photos, but it requires a special type of film. Think of it as a portable Polaroid with a modern twist. Along with the printer, you get an app packed with creative tools to add filters, create collages, and edit photos, among other features.
The Mini Link 3 also includes 3D augmented reality (AR) effects that let you change backgrounds or add special effects before printing your pictures. As for storage, the Instax Mini can hold up to 20 images at a time.
Future Features and Updates
In addition to the creative tools, the Instax Mini Link 3 offers a ‘click-to-collage’ feature. This allows you to capture six images in quick succession, with a three-second interval between shots. Afterward, you can print the six images as a collage in a single frame. The front panel of the device also features indicators to show battery level and print status.
The Instax Mini Link 3 will be available soon for $130. Meanwhile, the rose pink Pixel 9 has already been on the market for a few months. Fujifilm claims that the easy and fun printing features of the Mini Link 3, combined with the image-making power of the Pixel 9 will make for a more enjoyable photography experience.
