Get ready for the ultimate ‘floor cleaner,’ with Dyson’s latest Dyson WashG1. Dyson adds another revolutionary product in its floor cleaner lineup. Launched on October 10, the company claims this ‘floor cleaner’ is capable of cleaning both dry and wet debris together.

Dyson unveiled its latest cordless next-gen wet and dry cleaner. Unlike other ‘vacuum cleaners,’ this product doesn’t use the traditional method of using the suction method. This has a technology that you never imagined of. Here’s a look at what magic it holds within its compact yet light floor cleaner.

Introducing Dyson WashG1: The next gen cleaners

The Dyson WashG1 uses a ‘roller’ technology that cleans using a ‘dual mesh roller’. The roller has the ability to clean both dry and clean waste. The WashG1 features a 1-liter clean water tank and is Dyson’s first cordless wet floor cleaner. The product has a combined absorption, hydration and extraction technology. The combination of three helps to clean not only dry but also wet wastes and that too in a single sweep.

Dyson has been known for its unique technologies which are usually different from the traditional methods. Usual vacuum cleaners use ‘suction’ technique to clean waste, but again Dyson had to be different. So WashG1 uses ‘high speed rollers’ that easily cleans waste. These rollers also have a thin mesh inside them that separates dry from wet wastes.

So, how do the rollers exactly work? There are two single powered rollers that ‘counter-rotate’ while cleaning with water. To be precise the rollers have around 26 hydration points to supply water evenly while cleaning. Each roller has a high quality absorbent microfiber of about 64,800 filaments per cm2.  Now coming to the separation part of the rollers. The WashG1 has a thin mesh that comes in between the two rollers. This mesh helps to separate the wet and dry debris. The wet waste then gets separated by using a suction method. This method is quite similar to the ‘Suction filtration’ method. Notably this method is used to evaluate water absorption and retention in waste-based stabilizers. This includes the following steps:

  • Using suction pressure to a suction filtration bottle using a filter paper
  • Then removing the absorbed water from the waste-based stabilizer solutions
  • Lastly, the waste-based stabilizer is retained on the filter paper

But the main highlight is, WashG1 uses the 1st two steps compiled together. Although this is not visible from the outer structure of the cleaner. You can only see the debris tray designed with a 500-micron mesh. This tray is reusable and easy to clean, with a dual layer for dirt and debris separation.

What’s in for you

You also get the device in a lightweight and easy to use model. It has buttons for three cleaning modes. Depending on the type of stain, WashG1 uses three levels of hydration. This consists of low, medium and high modes. The high mode is capable of cleaning the toughest stain, the company claimed.  However, WashG1 can clean hard smooth surfaces only. It can’t work on rough or uneven surfaces.

On top of that you get a self-cleaning mode that not only maintains the hygiene but also makes it easy to use. You now don’t need to waste hours on cleaning as it cleans itself within just 20 minutes! A superfast cleaning technology! WashG1 also features two separate chambers for dirty liquid and clear water, attached with the machine itself. Additionally, it covers about 3100sq ft on a single charge.

As of now , the brand new WashG1 wet floor cleaner in India starts at a price range of Rs 64,900. You can now buy the product at any Dyson Demo stores across India. You can also buy them at their official website which is Dyson.in. In addition to this you are also getting a 2-year warranty and accidental damage protection. Sounds great right!
