Recent reports suggest that people are getting scammed in the name of big tech companies. According to a report, hackers are using the names of Microsoft and Apple to fraud people. The new scam came just after the iPhone 16 series was launched.

According to the reports, the scammers send deceptive messages warning people that their devices have been infected. Then creating an urgency the user is directed to call the service provider. Eventually, someone pretending to be from Apple or Microsoft will ask for your personal or sensitive details. Lastly you end up sharing such details and land in trouble
On top of this, scammers are also using artificial intelligence (AI) to make logos or create identical representations of the company . Using AI makes it look more authentic and users fall for the trap easily. Scammers can target you in various ways. These include malvertising and pop-up messages. Through pop-up emails, you get emails showing urgency of updating your device. These mails show that your device needs a fix and for that you need to contact the service provider. You will get a link and after you click the link, your device will automatically install malware. Or it could also install controlling devices that are undetectable.
Another scam these hackers are executing is that users are asked to fill forms. These forms need personal information from you. These details then further get misused by the fraudsters. These forms can also contain audio files warning to get your device fixed as soon as possible.
