Apple Watch Series 9 PRODUCT(RED) edition has officially been launched in India. As the name suggests, it’s part of Cupertino’s continued collaboration with (RED). Apple notes when customers buy (PRODUCT)RED products like these, “a portion of the proceeds goes to the Global Fund, which uses 100 percent of Apple’s contribution to fund HIV/AIDS programs in sub-Saharan Africa.” The partnership goes as far as 2006.
The PRODUCT(RED) edition joins the existing pink, midnight, starlight and silver aluminum finishes. The red colour extends to the watch’s band styling as well. Apple is also introducing a collection of specially customised watch faces alongside commemorating World AIDS Day (December 1). The pricing and sizing remain the same which is to say that you can get the Apple Watch Series 9 PRODUCT(RED) in a choice of 41mm and 45mm (with and without cellular) starting at Rs 41,900.

The Series 9 isn’t the only Apple product that has been given the PRODUCT(RED) treatment. Apple also sells the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE, and accessories, including the Silicone Case with MagSafe for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 in red.
Elsewhere, Apple says it will donate all proceeds from App Store in-app purchases for MONOPOLY GO!, Gardenscapes, and EA Sports FC Mobile games to the Global Fund to fight AIDS and help fund critical health programs starting December 1 through December 4. Cupertino has also announced that it will donate USD 1 for every purchase made using Apple Pay on apple.com, through the Apple Store app, or at an Apple Store location until December 8.
