With the launch of the iPhone 17 series, all eyes are now on Apple for what’s next. The ‘Awe dropping’ event on September 9 revealed the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air, alongside the new AirPods Pro Gen 3, Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch SE 3rd Gen and Apple Watch Ultra 3. While this was in no way scarce, the rumours hint at Apple having more products in stock, all of which are expected to be unveiled in the upcoming months.
Based on insider information from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, it seems that Apple has a total of 10 new products to launch by the first few months of 2026. This includes a brand new iPhone along with several ecosystem products and a couple of new Macs. In essence, Apple will overhaul the entire product lineup over the course of the next few months, most of which are likely to include processor upgrades as well as product refreshes.
Hence, if you are planning to upgrade your Apple ecosystem in the coming months, here’s why you need to wait. It seems Christmas is going to be busy in Apple-land.
1. Apple TV
A new generation of the Apple TV is expected to launch with a notable performance boost, thanks to the faster A17 Pro chip. The new chip could allow for a revamped Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, as well as an N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 support. Rumours even suggest that the Apple TV box could feature a built-in FaceTime camera, which would allow video calls directly from the living room.
2. HomePod mini
The HomrPod mini smart speaker has been around for a while and is due for an upgrade. The next-gen HomePod mini is rumoured to feature an Apple S9 chip, which could support the next-generation Siri chatbot. Like the Apple TV, it may also include an N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7, improved audio quality, and an updated Ultra Wideband chip. Apple may also bring back the Red colourway with the HomePod mini.
3. AirTag 2
The controversial AirTag is due for an update. The new AirTag 2 is expected to feature a tracking range up to three times greater than the current model. It may also come with a tamper-proof speaker and an improved battery alert system to notify users when the it is running critically low. The AirTag 2 could be unveiled by October, just like the current-gen variant.
4. iPad Pro M5
The iPad Pro has been around for a while with the M4 chip, and based on rumours, it seems that the M5 chip could debut on the iPad Pro. The new chip is expected to lend the iPad Pro a significant boost in performance. While the general design is expected to remain unchanged from the outgoing model, rumours suggest that Apple could add a secondary camera on the front, allowing users to take photos, videos and FaceTime video calls in any orientation without managing it manually. This iPad Pro is expected to arrive in October.
5. Vision Pro 2
The Apple Vision Pro has been out of the news for a while, and Apple plans to revive it. Hence, for 2025, the Apple Vision Pro could get a faster M5 chip to allow for superior processing power. A redesigned head strap could address concerns regarding comfort and the Space Black colour option to make it ideal for those seeking an understated presence.
6. iPhone 17e
The iPhone 17 series has been unveiled but it is yet to be complete. With the iPhone Air taking care of style-conscious buyers, Apple will bring the iPhone 17e in March 2025 as the entry-level model in the rather expensive iPhone 17 series. Succeeding the iPhone 16e, the iPhone 17e is expected to retain the core functions while upgrading the chipset to the beefier A19. It remains to be seen if Apple manages to upgrade the cameras and the display on the iPhone 17e.
7. MacBook Pro M5
Rumours of an M5-powered MacBook Pro have been doing the rounds of the rumour belt for a while. With more powerful processors, the new MacBook Pro could offer a notable boost in performance and efficiency. Apple is expected to reveal these next-gen MacBook Pro models in early 2026.
8. MacBook Air M5
The more popular and accessible MacBook Air is also in line for an update. Similar to the M4 MacBook Air, the M5 variant will feature the faster M5 chipset while being available in both 13-inch and 15-inch variants. The new models are expected to launch by March 2026.
9. Studio Display:
A new version of the Studio Display is rumoured to be in the pipeline, featuring mini-LED backlighting for improved brightness and contrast. This display could launch in late 2025 or early 2026, aligning with the release of the new Mac models.
10. Apple Home Hub
Apple’s rumoured smart home hub as a dedicated device for managing connected home accessories, is expected to be announced in the coming months. This product is likely to be a core part of Apple’s push into the smart home market. The Hub could be unveiled around March 2026.
