The Hurun India Art List 2025 shows a major shift in the Indian art market, with more women artists being recognised than ever before. This year, the list features 17 women artists, the highest number recorded so far. The growth reflects how collectors, galleries and auction houses are paying more attention to women’s work and giving it stronger visibility.

The top 10 women artists alone show impressive sales, strong demand and rising prices. Their performance signals a wider change in the art world, where women who were once overlooked are now seeing consistent support from both Indian and global buyers.
