McDonald’s whips up a Ranveer Singh signature meal; Know what’s inside it and more

The launch of The Ranveer Singh Meal marks the brand’s latest step in merging pop culture with fast food, aligning with McDonald’s global Famous Orders campaign.

McDonald’s India (North & East) has announced Bollywood star Ranveer Singh as its new brand ambassador, unveiling a signature limited-time menu item curated by the actor himself. The launch of The Ranveer Singh Meal marks the brand’s latest step in merging pop culture with fast food, aligning with McDonald’s global Famous Orders campaign. With this move, Singh joins a global roster of celebrity collaborators that includes BTS and Travis Scott, icons whose favorite McDonald’s meals have become culinary fan experiences.

The newly launched combo reflects Singh’s bold personality and love for the brand, bringing together a selection of items he personally enjoys.

“I’m thrilled to join the McDonald’s India (North & East) family as their brand ambassador!” Singh said in a statement. “McDonald’s has always been my favourite, just like it is for so many of us! I’m super excited to now have my very own meal with them, which I can share with my audience. It’s full of flavour and full of fun—just how I like it! It’s special to have a McDonald’s meal named after myself; I can’t wait for my fans to try it.”

The Ranveer Singh Meal, which became available from June 13, features a 3-item combo aimed at delivering both comfort and crunch. Customers can choose between two burger variants – McVeggie (Xplode) for vegetarians or McChicken (Xplode) for non-vegetarians, both featuring a spicy and creamy Xplode sauce and crispy golden onions for an added flavour punch. The combo is rounded off with Golden Pop Fries and the new Bobaaa Blast, a first-of-its-kind beverage offering in India with popping boba pearls.

Anant Agarwal, Vice-Chairperson of Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. (CPRL), which operates McDonald’s in North and East India, emphasized the synergy between Singh’s dynamic persona and the brand’s core values.

“Ranveer embodies what McDonald’s stands for—vibrant and joyful,” Agarwal said. “This collaboration is rooted in fan truth and the deep emotional bond people share with McDonald’s, reflecting real moments of joy and nostalgia, told through the lens of a genuine McDonald’s fan. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the McDonald’s family and to launch The Ranveer Singh Meal, a true celebration of fandom and flavour that resonates with fans of all ages, from youth and millennials to families.”

The meal also introduces two new items to Indian McDonald’s menus: the Golden Crispy Pops, a snack-sized potato treat designed for easy munching, and the Bobaaa Blast, a vibrant beverage designed to appeal to younger audiences and first-time boba drinkers alike.

This partnership not only taps into Ranveer Singh’s immense popularity but also strengthens McDonald’s position as a brand that evolves with changing tastes and cultural moments.
