Why will the Moon turn red during the Lunar Eclipse 2025?

The moon will totally turn red during the lunar eclipse because of a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. In this process, the Earth prevents direct sunlight from reaching the moon, and only the red and orange wavelengths are able to reach the lunar surface. This gives the moon a red colour, due to which it is called the Blood Moon.
