Tell us about BlendJet and what it stands for
BlendJet in itself is a relentless mission to help people live longer and healthier lives. I had a serious head injury that took me a year to recover from. At various points, I wasn’t sure I would survive or ever get back to normal. A big part of my recovery was daily smoothies and protein shakes, which I credit a lot for helping me get better. I learned firsthand that blenders were inconvenient. I knew if they were easier to use, not tethered to the kitchen, and could clean themselves, a lot more people would use them more often. I co-founded BlendJet to give people the superpower to have something delicious and nutritious anytime and anywhere.

Kindly share the factors that led to BlendJet’s India entry
India, with its large and young population, rich culture, amazing food, and health mindset, aligns perfectly with our mission to provide convenient and healthy food options, anytime, anywhere.
BlendJet 2 is the #1 selling blender online in the US and is top-selling in over 30,000 retail doors. We’ve offered free worldwide shipping for years, giving us a treasure trove of data to know exactly where the demand persists, and could be better served by setting up local operations. And India is definitely amongst the most promising markets in this regard, with immense opportunities for BlendJet-like innovations that make life easier.
Plus, BlendJet is also great for blending up India’s favourite Chaas or Lassi!
What are the special features of BlendJet’s portable blenders?
BlendJet offers unparalleled convenience, which makes people use it far more frequently than traditional blenders. Our average customer uses it at least once or more times per day, which is 10x more than traditional blenders. BlendJet has enabled millions to change their eating habits for the better. It’s powerful enough to blast through frozen fruit and ice, thanks to our patented TurboJet technology. BlendJet 2 is USB-C rechargeable, giving you 15 blends with just one hour of charging. The worst part about blenders is cleaning them, so we designed BlendJet to clean itself. Just add a drop of soap and water, and blend. BlendJet also comes in dozens of colors, patterns, and special editions, like our Disney collection, so there’s a BlendJet for everyone. We always have something new, inspiring many customers to become collectors.
How do you attract Indian customers to your product? Is India showing an increasing interest in portable products?
India’s unique culture means our team needs to understand Indian consumers, which is a challenge. Luckily, we have Rahul Dharmarajan, our Director of International Growth, leading our expansion into India, speeding up our learning and contributing to our success. We’re educating potential customers on how BlendJet fits into their lives with original content, ads, and recipe videos specifically for India. We run our ads on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google, and are expanding into even more digital and traditional channels. We partner with popular influencers in India too.
As for the interest in portable products, the answer is a definite yes. About half of our customers use BlendJet at home, while the other half use it on the go. Even for those using it at home, they appreciate not being stuck in a kitchen, where they might disturb others. Having the power to blend up something satisfying without waiting in line or dirtying a dish is unmatched in convenience. The driving force behind the surge in demand for portable products lies in our innate quest for convenience.
What is the estimated sales for the financial year 24-25?
We’re already exceeding our projections for India and have had to airship inventory to keep up with the demand. Our sales will surpass INR 100 million in the first year. I expect us to break the INR 1 billion mark in annual sales in just a few years.
Kindly share your net worth/revenue
BlendJet earns 9-figure revenue overall. In India, we’re already at a low 7-figure run rate within the first four months since launch.
