India’s finest seamer of all times, Lakshmipathy Balaji has called it an over, for his cricket innings. The man, who besides his seaming technique is known more for a forever effervescent smile has retired from a cricketing career though he’ll still play for Indian Premier League (IPL) and Tamil Nadu Premier League.

The man, who brought a halt to his 16 year long journey has taken this call in order to give time to his personal life now. He said ”I have to move on, have a young family now. I have given it all during my 16 years as a first class cricketer .”

The man has been flooded with good wishes for his decision but one amongst all sticks out and that came from none other than Virender Sehwag.

The cricketer known for his witty cracks did not disappoint this time as well as he whipped up a rather funny tweet to wish Balaji a happy new journey.

In the tweet Sehwag said that not everybody can smile at everything but there’s nothing like the smile of Laxmi’s husband Balaji (a pun aimed at Balaji’s name).

As always, Viru managed to bring a smile on everybody’s face with that perky tweet and Balaji must have flashed that bright one as well.
