This not only helped him get healthier and fitter, but also restored his self confidence and happiness.

“My patient on Mounjaro dropped 40 kilos in 6 months. Before I convinced him to start the drug, he was living inside a negative bubble. Introvert, stayed home most weekends, because he felt like an outsider in his own friends circle. People used to call him synonyms of “being fat” jokingly, but deep inside it did hurt him,” wrote Dr Philips on X.

The Liver Doctor added that his morbid obesity did not allow him to exercise the way he needed to.

“He spent a lot of time on social media. Depressive episodes made him snack more. But now, he looked so different. The happiness and confidence on his face is what scientific medicine and medical research is all about,” he concluded.
