Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan’s high-profile divorce once again came into the spotlight as DJ Aqeel, former brother-in-law to Sussanne, recently spoke about his own separation from Farah Khan Ali. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, DJ Aqeel candidly discussed how his marriage to Farah, which lasted 18 years, gradually fell apart. He revealed that they had grown apart over time and officially confirmed their divorce in February 2023, nearly two years after announcing their separation in 2021.

During the conversation, Aqeel was asked about his relationship with Hrithik Roshan, given his past familial ties as Sussanne Khan’s brother-in-law. Aqeel shared that despite his divorce, he remains close to Sussanne, emphasizing the strong friendship they share. He remarked that they continue to support each other as friends and family.

Interestingly, Aqeel pointed out that both couples – himself and Farah, as well as Sussanne and Hrithik – faced similar challenges in their relationships around the same period. He explained that Sussanne and Hrithik were also navigating personal issues but chose to keep their matters private. “They had their own personal challenges,” Aqeel stated.

Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan, once one of Bollywood’s most adored couples, ended their marriage in 2014. In a 2016 interview with Femina, Sussanne disclosed that they reached a point where they could no longer continue in a relationship that felt untrue to them. Despite their separation, they continue to co-parent their sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan, maintaining an amicable and respectful relationship.

Currently, Hrithik Roshan is gearing up for his role in War 2, where he will star alongside Jr NTR and Kiara Advani under the direction of Ayan Mukherji. Meanwhile, Sussanne recently made headlines for her Dubai vacation with her boyfriend, Arslan Goni in December 2024.
